We believe in the Bible, the Written Word of God. It was fully inspired by God and through it, God revealed His intentions to us. It is the supreme authority in the life of a believer, and of the church in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in the Trinity, One God as Three Persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three distinct persons yet One God; all eternal and all equal in all divine perfection.
We believe that God is the Sovereign Creator, Ruler, Provider and Sustainer. He created the universe, out of nothing, by His Word. He created man is His image. He rules overall, provides for all and sustains all, for His glory.
We believe in Man’s Sin and Fall from Fellowship with God. Deceived by Satan, man chose to disobey God. Thus, condemnation, corruption, guilt, death and final judgment belong rightly to all Adam’s posterity.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Incarnate Son of God. He is truly Man and truly God, the only Mediator between God and man, and the only savior for all men.
We believe in the Saving work of Jesus Christ. Jesus obtained forgiveness of sins, suffered as propitiation in our place that we may be justified; He atoned for human sin, so that whoever believes receives the gift of salvation.
We believe in the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. He is the Promised Helper to the Church; He glorifies the Son by inspiring the Writing of Scriptures and applying the Word to us, indwells believers and empowers them for Gospel ministry as well as bringing to faith all the elect of God.
We believe in Sanctification by the work of the Holy Spirit. By faith in the Son, through the work of the Holy Spirit, God imparts a new life to and transforms the justified sinner, changing his soul in the likeness of Christ. Life in Christ is by God’s Word as the Holy Spirit helps to interpret and apply it and by Prayer as the believer responds to God’s Word.

We believe in the church of Christ and Her Ordinances-Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The church is One, Christ’s body, made of believers, both universal and local. Baptism is done for believers by immersion in water while the Lord’s super is shared by the community of believers in remembrance of the Lord.
We believe in Christ’s Command to His Church - to Make Disciples of All Nations. It is the mission of the church to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples, bringing about the worship of God among all the nations.
We believe in the Death and Resurrection of man and the Coming of the Lord Jesus. In this overlap of the two ages (old and new), death is inevitable. But, when they die, believers are made in perfect holiness. At the end of this age, Jesus will return physically and in glory to gather the elect, to judge the nations and to establish His kingdom. The righteous will enter an everlasting joy with God; the ungodly an everlasting misery.
We believe in marriage between one man and one woman as God’s ordained institution of life. Such a marriage is the ideal setting for children to be reared in Godliness. Divorce is a contradiction of the covenant between Christ and his Church which marriage is intended to image.
We believe that, in a way that glorifies God as the supreme king of all, every believer in Jesus has freedom to exercise all constitutional rights as a citizen. Without compromise to the faith, he is also expected to fulfill his duty to the state including obedience to the law and the pursuit of the public good.
We uphold the Unity of the Church and we believe in Cooperation with other Christian churches. This statement is to be treated as our expression of faith at UUB but it remains under the Bible’s all-time check. The exaltation of the truth will remain our criterion for the Unity of Christians. Wherever possible, cooperation will be sought on that basis.
